There are people using the same fairphones for over 6 years. The fact that we might get surprised hearing this is a sign that there is something really wrong going on in this industry. This should be the norm, not a freaking oddity. I have a 286's that's still running, My Nokia 3310 is still working, even my Motorola Startac is workinga after 20 years or more. And somehow we got indoctrinated by the cellphone industry that the cool thing these days is to throw away a handlheld computer every 2 years. It is time to wake the fuck up.
Hi, Jerry did the test right or not Jerry liked me I told someone you are an idiot to buy an iPhone or Android foulds no also out of respect for those who manufacture saving the world it means saving as much waste as possible that we throw tons tons of plastic and therefore fairphone instead the shit that we throw in the sewer instead you cannot transform it and when they talk about producing even more and unfortunately we have to live together. 👍🌎🌏🌍
Hi, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee👍
Why was I expecting scratches at a level 3
"A single camera dates the Fairphone 3 pretty hard." I understand that multiple cameras are the "norm" now, but why do people even need more than 1 on each side? What purpose does that even serve to the common person on the street? you got a camera for selfies on the front and a camera for everything else on the back. extra cams are extra price, nothing more.
It passed the durability test. That's good.
Any chance you can do a Durability test of LG or Sharp smartphones ? 🤔
Can we updated some peace from this dvic ?
If this comes to Australia it's my next phone.
Did anybody else blow on their phones after he finished carving that thumbs up?
These videos are like the polar opposite of asmr for me, I can only watch them with my fingers on mute...
I like the concept but for the price I feel like you’re better off getting a OnePlus Nord 10 or an iPhone SE
Great idea, but will never take off. Shame really.
Can you test the Xiaomi Redmi 8a
if you replaced every part of the phone, is it still the same phone?
This shouod be the future
Finally I can remove the microphone against google and use it for home usage!
Very nice to see these phones! Make them better with more camera modules and support this company!
2:30 "And boom, new phone, who dis?"
can u pls test ipad 8
My next phone! We have support companies like fairphone. Nice job.
Trying to read Zack's t-shirt at 3:02
You really spelt supposedly as suposidly in the desc
The first phone to be taken apart before a durability test?
I Like concept but .....The price is too expensive for me , I would rather buy a refurbished phone with Better spec .
I cant stand how smug this guy acts
Also important to note: the fairphone 3 comes with a removable rubber strip all around, making it very well protected against drops (both the edges and the screen).
This is modular cellphones done right.
With better support in local LTE bands this would've been a buy. Yet, I'm going to keep an eye on the iterations to come. @Zac: Care to explore the os options on your 3+?
What do you do with all the phones you have Can I get the iPhone 12 you opened up and broke the camera
and boom new phone who dis??
vivo v19
*Dislikes from apple and samsung headquarters*
Pretty fun watching you wreck phones while appreciating them lol
Life moves forward while borrowing ideas from the past
Who else wants him to build his own phone using the parts he has
I want this phone in the States.
Could you tear down the BLU vivo xl4? I know it's an old phone. But I have one and I wanna know what's up with the charging port
am a pretty big fun of this fairphone concept.... me too
damn, my grandma wouldnt be able to do this lol, but i get what you mean
Hey jerry, since you are in America why not use a zippo lighter instead, it would be kinda cool if you used in a video. Btw good video, keep it up.
This reminds me of that one Kickstarter project from a few years back everyone was freaking out about. Does anyone know if the companies are related?
For people that just want a phone that works and lasts, this is a great phone. And a much bigger statement than any i-phone or alike... (which in my view are totally obsolete, 'old economy' that kills our planet). I have been happy with my FairPhone 1 between 2013 and 2017 and even more happy (bigger memory) with my FairPhone 2 of 2017! Perhaps I need a new phone in 2 or 3 years, who will say? But I can say what I would like to buy then!
Its not available in my country I love everything it stands for and the idea it promotes
Mr.Jerryrigeverything I am a big fan of your's. I really like your videos. I have one request that can you do a teardown of Realme X50 5g phone. Thank you 😊
It can't possibly succeed. It just makes TOO MUCH SENSE!
It would be nice if it was a good phone. My current phone works fine, but it is slow. I guess you can't change the CPU/graphics part either to replace it by a new one. That would means it will still be slow after some years.
The volume dropped at "unless you own a mac"..😅
Feel honored to see my language as first rule on package
Pretty sad this comment section isnt *GEKOLONISEERD*
I would stay calm during the apocalypse if he would narrate what is happening.
Imagine buying a modular phone like this. And instead of annually releasing a Brandnew phone they release upgraded modular parts for us to upgrade like memory, board, camera, screen and battery etc. 🤔🤔
Would love to see you upgrade this version once parts for it come out. Just to show this aspect of the phone.
Awesome Concept! Hope more phones in future adopt to this...
that design will become outdated and will need a whole new phone anyway 🤦🏻♂️
This phone is amazing
Imagine if companies like Apple and Samsung were this considerate for their customers, no more planned obsolescence, easy and cheaply repairable devices. It makes them look all the more petty when they stopped shipping chargers.
My LG V20 is similarly easy to work on, has better cameras, universal remote, FM radio, top end audio through the headphone jack which can power studio headphones, records up to 130 dB audio clearly and can do it in FLAC quality, also has a removable battery, and the back comes of with the push of a button. Oh yeah, and it's less than half the cost. Not saying you shouldn't get a Fairphone, they are cool, but if you can't afford one or you want the extra features, get a V20.
I wonder what Fairphone will be up to by the time I actually need to replace my current phone. After all, it's not very environmentally friendly to just buy a new phone when your current phone works just fine. (also say what you will, but one camera is enough)
2:39 - Left ear only Jerry is so right though 😂
I love Jerry's voice, it's so calm and it's like someone is reading or telling me a story.🤭
Do an iPhone 5c durability test
Wasn't it like Google gave up on their Idea of replaceable components because of money? And that such a concept was terribly bad for all smartphone manufacturers because they all release phones every year with planned obsolescence in mind?
I like how "unless you own a Mac" is all on the left ear. lol
If it ever comes to Indian Market I'll definitely buy it for my mother 😍
*1. NOT A SINGLE REPLACEMENT PART ON eBay.* *2. Ancient Android 9 - NO security* How can you call it good phone?!
Not really digging the huge bezels, but I guess they had to sacrifice some things for the sake of modularity.
Fairphone 3
A greater screen to body ratio would help this phone a lot
I really like this idea. A little polish and they’ve got my business.
New phone who dis
who else heard " unless you own a mac"
is it just me or is his voice really satisfying to listen to
Whith a decent big screen without bezolz it would really be cool
2:36 That Apple side blow 😂
they knew this phone is ganna hit here cuz of which, they kept it simple to open.
nice concept but hardware its a joke, no one with brain would of purchase this for 500 dollars maybe 100 dollars
I understand they are trying to be environmentally responsible and sustainable, but I would think that being modular gives great opportunity for customizable glass/rubberized/sandstone backs or frames. Feels like a missed opportunity here.
Please test samsung m30s
2:40 AYE ZACK I HEARD THAT
I'm so sad that I can't buy this in the US :(
Good review on a good and honest phone.
Any chance you are going to do a durability test on the regular s21? Would like to have an idea how durable their 'glastic' is
Do the Pinephone next :D
My left ear loved the Mac roast
I saw this phone advertised by Co-Op Mobile and thought, "how much!!!". Seems a bit pricey for what your getting, and a bit out of date. Hopefully there next phone will have more modern components.
I always think how unlucky those phone are that are simply destroyed by him 😂😂
First phone to have a teardown before the durability test LG wing Am I a joke to you?
A pop off back panel? Haven't seen one of those since 2014. If they make a slightly more budget one around 300 dollars maybe I'd get it and upgrade slowly, since with the Fairphone you CAN. Love the concept.
Imagine a “Jerryrigeverything’s grandma” channel?🧓🏼
i love those modular & easy repairable phones.
“This almost feels like cheating” … My man hurting😭😂
I dream of a day when IDworlds comments stop being IDworlds comments
Cool to see the Fairphone featured on such a large channel. Thanks again for your review!
3:00 О, лысый
do one on Realme GT
Phones must be made anti Jerry rig technology 🤣
"It's so modular that 3000mah battery can be replaced in seconds by just popping off the back" Damn I feel old
Close to what I want Definently intrigued
I would love this if I wasn't afraid of the longevity of the device
