Cheers guys! Much better commentary than that of The Race.
I just can't stand to hear the noises that Mike Chen makes with his uninformed face.
I see that they don’t do refueling during pit stops, will it come back?
Small request/feedback: Mix the engine/track/race sounds up a bit louder please! The commentary is quite loud and you can barely hear anything from the track.
F1 but with the same kinda car. nice
Hey Redbull guys, I'll recommend you to include the SuperKart and the UK Formula 750, it's cool.
The only noticeable difference between F1 and SF it's the camera motion and shots, maybe a tech exchange between the media coverage in the F1 and the rest of them may improve audience. SF rules !
Tatiana C. 🔥🙌🏼
Stop saying Fukuzumi like pizza, he is not Italian.
Your pronunciation of some of the Japanese names needs a lot of work.
I know some Japanese too, I have been learning it for quite a while. Nirei Fukuzumi was the worst pronunciation. Nirei is pronounced almost like three syllables, Ni-re-I, not Nir-eye. The z in Fukuzumi is also just a normal z, not the ts sound like pizza. Otherwise it would be Fukutsumi. Other than that, the letter A in names like Miyata, Kobayashi and Sasahara, they should all sound the same. In Japanese, there is no A sound as in track, the letter A should always sound like the A in car, not Co-buy-ashi for example. Similar story with the other vowels. I is pronounced like mint. U is pronounced like flute. E is pronounced like bed, and O is pronounced a bit like dog. I know learning languages is hard, but if you’re commentating a race of mostly Japanese drivers, it takes a matter of minutes to learn the basic principles of pronunciation. I am not saying I am perfect, I know I get it wrong sometimes, but they are way off with some names.
I know Japanese and they only got one name wrong, Fukuzumi.
Sweet! More racing coverage, hope to catch it live next time. Thanks to all involved.
Must be hard feeling for some of the fans missing rivalry between Nick Cassidy and Naoki Yamamoto
Definately my number 1 alternative to F1. I'm not impressed with the commentry. We need to know who the top 5 drivers are and some background about them.
Good God forget the music man, just.......err.....horrible music!
terrible announcer holy shit
I dunno, maybe learn how to pronounce peoples' names and team names if it's your job.
@Mario Martinez You don't know it very well, then, since the pronunciation and emphasis was wrong on every single name.
I know Japanese and I can tell they only got one name wrong, Fukuzumi.
Tough statement saying you’re the best single seater series
For pure racing it is.
Very boring watching to all japaneses drivers on mayority, they grab it all the grid...nonsense, the Japanese created their own formula category. Very boring, great formula cars but they have to be more opened to get drivers from others countries too I think.
It is intended as a Japanese series. If someone else wants to join fine, but the Japanese could care less and it has enough financial support from the sponsors and engine manufacturers that is is financially viable. DTM and Australian Super Car are national series and you do not see the same questions being asked of them. I do think it is disingenuinous for them to lay claim as the best open wheel series.
It's a regional/national championship not a worldwide one, of course there's going to be more Japanese drivers but there's always a set of foreigners, it's just Japan's COVID travel restrictions which are not letting them race.
@Federico Argüello its like complaining that Formula 2 or F1 only has one or two asian drivers. . . like yeah, most of the teams and infrastructure is in Europe so of course theres not gonna be as many asian drivers. Its the same in japan. If the teams, engineers, and geography wise, theres more japanese, of course theres gonna be less european drivers.
@Federico Argüello most of the teams and engineers speak japanese so of course its not going to have as many foreigners. But keep in mind there actually was supposed to be two other foreign drivers this year (baltas and Fenestraz) but due to travel restrictions they can't get into japan right now due to covid
@Ciello ___ Yes in part, but seeing the history of the category (old as formula one by the way) there were always more Japanese drivers apparently it is politics to prioritize them, and yes, Nick was champion in 2019 but as I said there are very few foreigners...
This is some great action! SF is the best single seater series now, such close racing and very skilled drivers. The commentators still need to adapt a bit. When there was a four-car death match on track, they were discussing something else (at 1:17:35). Missing Sam Collins a little.
Thanks for this rare livestream red bull...
thans for the stream injoin it !
Thanks Red Bull! I am 16 y.o SF journalist from Poland (I interviewed Naoki Yamamoto in winter) and you are making great job with broadcast. Thanks a lot for it!
I read your article, very nice.
@Lockdown Hi, Here but you have to translate motohigh.pl/2021/03/06/naoki-yamamoto-f1-super-formula-wywiad/
Hi, where can I see or read this interview
hell yeah subaru safety car!
1:17:35 Nice!
ONLYFANS I LOVE MOTORS !
Japan racing is so great !!!
Thanks for the coverage! I think we need a bit more onboards
Who wants to watch boring F1 when you can sit back and watch some proper racing Scrap F1 replace with S/F Thats my thought for the day !!!
Just wish there was more rounds.
They said a lot of wrong name
Since this channel is going to have the Super Formula series this season, is this channel also going to have the Super GT series as well or does anybody know if that is still going to be on The-Race channel for this season?
we don't know yet. though forsure The Race is not doing it this year
Still nothing there. Wouldn't be surprised if they ditch Coverage this year like they did in 2019, although Motorsport/Red Bull likely will have it.
The lead car had an 8 second lead. Where the hell did the commentator get 46 seconds from? And I understand the regs are in Japanese, but it *might* help to have someone who speaks both go over them and fill in these commentators.
@William Ford Yes, that's how it happened, but the commentator said he had a 46 second gap to the next car, when it was 8.
There is a pit stop delta from time in to time out. It seemed like the pit stops were 7 seconds or so and it may have been another 25 or 30 going in and out of the pits which means the total time is 30-35 odd seconds. The leader may have lost 5 seconds staying out an extra lap on worn tires, so that may have accounted for the lead dropping from 8 seconds to 3 when the pit stops all washed out.
If I got it right, it was 8 sec to the next case in track, and 46 sec to Oyu who had pitted but still looked like the main contender . The commentator made sense to me.
Go Mugen Power! Fuck yeah!
Like formula super great 1 st race interesting 2021
Amazing race, great comments, Thanks Red bull!! Can't wait for the next one! ありがとうございました
this tire heat bullshit is fucking stupid, park yer cars and go have some crumpets with tea come back to 100% fair race.
great race. I think that SF has the best balance between fun and professionalism, which makes it better than F1 or Indycar. I hope Red Bull covers all races and Super GT as well.
@Red Bull Motorsports brilliant coverage there red bull.
@Red Bull Motorsports I didn't find qualifying.
You can find every race of the 2021 Super Formula series live on Red Bull TV - qualifying and race.
I'm kinda lost, SuperFormula isn't on ''The Race'' Channel??
Not this year. Last year, Redbull TV also had super formula actually
@Purwanti Allan umm yeah they coverage the 2020 Super Formula last year so the 2021 Super Formula is now on Red Bull Motorsports channel
@Rider of the Mark really?
The race is the best
You should hire Sam Collins=)
平川選手英語うま!
Very Wonderful
race starts at 21:20
Cheers for that!
Gods work. Thank you
Omg i missed the race 😭 I live in india so i was studying but no worries i can catch-up In future i think super formula be the go to for rookies F2 is good but cars are faster in super formula
