  • For Number 2: I call bullshit on Negreanu! He's way too good of a player to have just "misclicked" like that. I think he knew exactly what he was doing and tried to play it off on as a misclick. Then later during his interview, he basically admitted to doing exactly that, faking a misclick. It's just dirty poker to win a pot. For Number 1: Freitez should have been DQ'd and the pot should have automatically gone to Yanayt. This is some of the worst angle shooting I've ever seen. Why do this bullshit when you know you have the nuts. It's dirty poker to force a min raise. Especially if he has been accused of doing the same thing earlier in that same tournament. If I was Yanayt, I would have auto folded. But my guess is he felt pot committed at that point.

  • As like everyone here the "good hand" hand was my favorite but...he didn't say raise and pushed in his chips. I think it was more of an error on the raiser than the "good call" guy. Pretty clear he said good call not clear that he raised. On the flip side the "I mean call" guy was a POS!!! I new before the hand started that it was going to be him that was the a$$hole. Funny how you can tell by the way someone looks.

    mgpviimgpvii11 hari yang lalu
    • You don't have to announce your move if it's clear, if you put more chips that the bet it's raise. In fact, at least where I work, if a player puts 50% more of the difference for a minimum raise, you have to complete the raise. An example in case I didn't explained it clearly: Bet 500 (so Minimum raise 1000), if a player puts 750 without announcing he has to complete the raise to 1000 (because the difference would be 500, so 50% of that is 250, 500+250=750), if the player puts 749, it's call. That's why players should wait for the dealer to call the move.

He clearly raised and the other guy said call because at 8:00 classes says "you call"? and the other guy says yep. WHAT bullshit. Even if he didn't mean to "call with 8 4 off-suit he still said yep when asked if he calls the raise. And clearly the commentators backed the LIAR. It is obvious.

  • #3 is a great example of legitimate confusion (I thought he said 'call the first time too') that once they talked it out, it was clear that he would NOT call any sort of raise. The winning player is a mensch; good man.

  • Idk but to me, anything goes in poker. The entire point is to deceive and manipulate people into doing what you want. Not an ethical game to begin with. Stuff like what Freitez did to me is just part of that. People who fall for stuff like that do so because they thought someone made an honest mistake and are trying to capitalize off of it, so why is that okay but tricking someone into doing it isnt? Just my thoughts, I have no problem with either of the top 2 plays at all

  • If the Tournament official knew the player had previously called 'Raise' and then stated 'I meant to call' when he had the nuts and he did the exact same thing again and it was found to be true when the player turned over the nuts...I would have penalized him 1 hour away from the table.Hopefully his chips would have been anted and blinded away. Then i would ban him from playing in any more tournaments and I would make it a rule against this kind of play. I don't think you would have any more problems like this.

    ZapranothZapranoth19 hari yang lalu
  • I understand that comments should not be allowed when it's possible you have information to impart that would affect the game, like if you folded the one card he needs to make his straight flush or something, and you said "He doesn't have it, I folded that card" (silly, extreme example) But in the first situation, with the cards being dealt, he has no info to impart, he's just guessing. Why can't a guy make a fun comment like "I bet he's got nothing"? Makes the game more fun and everyone KNOWS it's just that person's GUESS.
